 At £2.5million the house has undergone a complete renovation and comes with seven acres of garden, woodland and an orchard. It also features it's own turrets and castelations, even included on the 1,100 sq ft garages.

So, have you ever fancied owning a property to rival all others, and wondered where in the country you can own such a property like a Castle, Manor House or Stately Home for under £1million? We decided to look into our UK homemover database to find out what you'd be able to purchase in the market right now. 

If you're looking at the more modest end of the scale, perhaps Cambridge is the answer, with such a property going for only £295k. This is the cheapest of these types of properties currently on the market in the UK. 

If your budget can stretch slightly further, you'll have a choice of four such properties in Huddersfield, averaging just under £1million.

Looking at the average time on market for some areas for these types of properties, there could well be room for a deal, as Hereford, Bradford and Huddersfield are averaging at close to a year. Derby and Cambridge on the other hand have an average of 6 days and 78 days respectively, so these houses are unlikely to hang around for long. 

Not sure if you want to commit fully to the lifestyle of Lord or Lady of the Manor? There's always the option to rent one of these types of properties instead. In Portsmouth you can rent a Manor house for £3000 PCM, or for as little as £333 PCM you can rent your very own Castle in Galashiels.
